of Solar Blind UV (SBUV) imaging systems.
Currently Ofil's main focus is in the utility marketplace and its
flagship product is the
DayCor®camera, the most sensitive SBUV imager available in the commercial
market. Evidence
of this is the rapidly growing
DayCor®
users community,
currently more than 120 leading utilities worldwide.

AEP,
Oncor
(formerly TXU),
Southern Company and many others. Ofil's
DayCor®
was backed by EPRI
(Electric
Power Research Institute), which has supported the development
of applications to this new innovative technology.
Our
technology:
Ofil
has developed a proprietary filtering technology for the Solar Blind
UV (SBUV) band. In this spectral band, solar radiation is completely
absorbed by the ozone layer of the earth atmosphere, and the background
of solar radiation at the earth surface is zero. This filtering
technology enables detection of the emission of weak UV emitters
in full daylight with no interference from solar radiation.
Since it was founded (9 years ago) Ofil has gained both Intellectual
Property (IP) and Trade-Secret know-how in the design and manufacturing
of SBUV imaging systems. This knowledge covers SBUV filters, special
SBUV optics, signal analysis, sensor system design and propriety
production procedures.
