Detection of rifle, sniper& small arm shooting /firing can be
done by the Solar Blind UV (SBUV) imaging technology and maybe used
for force protection & snipers detection.
The UV signature of the firing is due to the secondary burning of
the residual gun powder, ejected from the barrel.
The detection of the uv signature occurs at a distance of about 20-50
cm from the rifle muzzle.
